TikTok is used to create and share short videos with some special effects. It become hugely popular in India but has been criticised by some politician says that it's content is inappropriate. It has been downloaded more than 240 million times in Inda
The primary concern is with the demographic that TikTok attracts, which is a large number of children and youngsters. Despite the age limit of 13 years, children of all ages are using the app.
Parents, in various reports, have expressed concerns with who children were being allowed to interact with, since interaction with strangers is possible via the app. These factors have definitely drawn the attention of sexual predators and other such elements on the app.

Google has blocked access to the hugely popular video app TikTok in India to comply with a state court's directive to prohibit its downloads. It encouraged pornography and made child users vulnerable to sexual predators. TikTok is still available on Apple's platforms late on Tuesday, but was no longer available on Google's Play store in India.

The Chennai case was launched by an activist group which said the app encouraged paedophiles and pornography. Tiktok has become a major rival to Facebook, Instagram and other social network sites among teenage smartphone users in the past year.
